Shuma Kusanagi is just an ordinary boy...

Until one day, he's suddenly abducted by the vampire ringleader Iris Pumila, who reveals a shocking secret: Shuma has vampire blood coursing through his veins, and it is her destiny to awaken him!

Although Shuma manages to return to his normal life, he now faces unexpected challenges. His body is overwhelmed by sudden vampiric impulses, making it harder to maintain his humanity. To make matters worse, strange individuals begin appearing, disrupting his once-peaceful existence.

First, there's Mari, a werewolf maid who was tasked by Shuma's deceased father to restore the Kusanagi family to its former glory. Then comes Calen of the Officinalis family—one of the three progenitor vampire lineages—who boldly declares herself his fiancée.

On the opposite side is Aoi Kamishiro, a vampire hunter sent by the Holy See's secret anti-supernatural organization, the Rubina. And lurking in the shadows is Lycoris, an assassin dispatched by Iris, seemingly mocking Shuma's hopes for a normal life.

Caught between these conflicting forces, Shuma struggles to live as a human, not as a vampire. However, the rising tide of darkness threatens everything, forcing him to wield the very powers he despises.

In the end, Shuma must overcome his inner turmoil and embrace his supernatural heritage—if only to protect those he cares about from the evil closing in around him.
