The game "Ashwalkers", developed by Hervé Bonin's new studio Nameless XIII, invites players to confront their own humanity in a harsh post-apocalyptic world. Set 200 years after a volcanic apocalypse has destroyed much of the planet, players must navigate through a desolate landscape filled with ash storms and acid rain while managing resources, physical health, and the mental well-being of their group.
In a non-linear narrative, players face complex moral dilemmas and must make impactful choices that lead to 34 different endings. The game features a diverse cast of characters: Captain Petra, pragmatic fighter Sinh, optimistic scholar Kali, and cautious scout Nadir. Each character has unique relationships that players can explore as they journey through the remnants of civilization.
Players must not only manage food, equipment, and medication but also protect their group from despair and madness by seeking out and harvesting crucial resources in the wild.
